One of my colleagues remind me that the child will feel even more stressed than the parent because they are the ones taking the exam. Give lots of encouragement and tell them to breathe Deeply when they feel panic on the actual day.

You can always find out from the teacher on how compo is being taught to have a better idea and check out the materials.

The basics of grammar and vocabulary is important in writing a good compo. There is always planning done before any composition and it’s the same method taught by school teachers. Do note that good planning is very important and I believe the emphasis is there.

Hi I just called up a school to enquire on possible transfers but was told that there was no vacancy. Is there any difference between STEPS and going to the school and be put on waitlist? I was told to bring the SA2 results end of the year. No further info and the person dealing with the call was quite impatient.

Anyone knows where to get English assessment books from either Pearson or Longman? There doesn’t seem to be many books from this publisher nowadays in major bookstores. Publishers are mainly from EPH or MC etc.

You may perhaps let your child attend a trial class first and gauge for yourself whether your child can follow the pace, the overall class environment etc. What people say here will only be third party views. The important thing is whether the child feels motivated after the session and to challenge himself/herself to do better.

Parents with children in this school, any idea how strict the school is with CCA participation ? Understand it’s compulsory but what happens if there is intention to change to another cca or to drop out half way during the 4 years. Anyone had any first hand experience so far? Please PM me if possible. Thanks
