I think the act of giving money to parents is a form of discipline and filial piety. The token amount is not that crucial, but rather the notion that It is important that they do not only think of themselves.

Actually adjunct teachers have more time to dedicate to teaching, as they are usually on half load/ one third load. They do not have to be bothered with CCA and committee work. And they are very often the more experienced teacher. So they can plan better lessons and give remedials if they so wish to.

I always hold the view that DSA can be a dangerous thing. If a student DSA into a school base on CCA alone, there is a pretty high chance that he/she will spend alot of time on the CCA, and neglect their studies. I have seen too many such cases already. The school brings the child in to win awards of the school. But at the end of the day, the student does not do well for their national exams, and wasted many years of their life.

Those on waitlist would get the offer should anyone drop out. There are people who will drop out after accepting an offer. Not frequently, but I do know of a friend who did that, as he got a better offer to study finance overseas. So keep the faith, you may still get the chance.

Depending on what massage your husband goes for. If it is in Singapore, and not those shady ones, I think it is fine. There are many massages that are done by males or at least not in private rooms. But of course, if you are uncomfortable, I would highly suggest that you communicate it to him, and I believe your husband would respect it. Yall can go along together!

Put it this way, looking at how the world is evolving and moving towards, computer science (and the advent of AI) may (and I believe very likely) render accounting obsolete in the near future.


Computer science is the way to go.

Instead of controlling the computer time, why not make them learn programming. That way, they may become fearful of the computer. And naturally shy away from the computer, at the same time, they learn a very useful skill which will be a very power tool in the next 20 years.

Online shopping makes one shop for the sake of shopping rather than needs. You see new items on sale, and get tempted to buy it. You see discounts, and start to buy them too. Plus shopping for clothes is difficult online as we cannot try it.

Dont ever cancel your caller ID. I did that to save $5 thinking that as long I have saved the contacts on my phone, their number will show. How wrong was I, there will be no number whatsoever from whoever. Whenever I receive a miss call, I don’t even know who it is. Troublesome.

Most of my friends go to Macau to gamble. From what they say, the things there are not cheap, in fact even more expensive than singapore. I am also curious as to what other attractions are there besides gambling?
