I understand the anxiety of the parents here having abt which is the better class. But can we stop guessing or speculating. its not helping at all. This will only result in other parents getting worried that their kid is not in the speculated better class but instead weaker ones.

    • RE: Tutor Niedino: Pri Science Questions and Concepts

Hi I would like to find out more on the marking scheme for PSLE science.

My P4 DD had these type of questions during her SA1 and CA2 exams. One of them were:
They were given 7 things and were told to group them into "good" and "bad" conductors of heat. The correct answer will be 3 items will fall into "good" and 4 items will fall into "bad". She’s got 5/7 correct but no marks were awarded at all. So she lost the entire 2 marks. When I checked with her teacher, she said the school were following the marking scheme of PSLE.

Please advise if this is true. Many thanks

    • RE: Tutor MathsGuru: Ask me for your burning Maths questions!

      Hi pls help

      1) the lengh of a rectangle table is 3 times its width. If the length was 2m shorter and the width 80cm wider, a sq table would be formed. What are the dimensions of the rectangular table.

      2) mabel had 11m if cloth. She used 7/10m of it to make a dress and 4/5m to make a table cloth. How many meters of cloth was left .

      Many thanks

Just recieved the letter regarding the transition to single session come term 4.

I saw that the interest group for P1 & P2 will be conducted between 10-12 pm. Thereafter lesson ends at 3.25pm. This means that the children will resume lessons after their lunch break. I am just wondering why don’t they hv the interest group in the afternoon instead. Will they be able to concentrate on their lessons in the afternoon after a tiring morning? I’m not against the idea but looking for the rationale in this arrangement.

      Hi all

Now that it’s official that the single session will start in Term 4, did anyone suggest that they start at a later time. Say 8am. I would like to hear your views on this. Thanks

Sorry for the late reply. I’m using the "PSLE your companion to Science"
      ISBN:978-981-4252-42-3

Any parents have comments on this book. +/- welcome.

I only have the fairfield one so can’t compare. But I like this one. It comes with notes which are quite comprehensive and quite a no. of experiments which some are tested in ours and some other top schools exam papers.
