My twinnies are with GYPS and I think they are enjoying themselves so far. You may want to take a look at their FB posts to see the programmes that they are doing. The teachers do upload the photographs to share and who what the school is doing.
Even at P1, they have spelling tests etc and timed practices, which I appreciate a lot.

Hi! I've registered my b/g twins at Guangyang Pri at 2CS. Although we are more than 2km away, we'll have to wait for official results. Any parents that I can connect with this group?
Congrats! Your kids are confirmed in, do not doubt. Have a good sleep. SMS on 21 Aug will say the same thing. -

New Town Primary seems safe. I wonder if its convenient for you to travel via public transport.
Yup, by bus. -

zac's mum:
Since 8 August, we've traipsed to schools like New Town Primary, Gan Eng Seng Primary, Bukit Timah Primary, Stamford Primary and Guangyang Primary by bus, MRT and walking. We dragged our twins around just to check out the surroundings and how to get to school safely.
Your best bet would be New Town Primary at Commonwealth MRT station with 131 seat left.
From Farrer Road MRT you can take bus 186 to Queenstown MRT. And take MRT 1 stop only to Commonwealth MRT. NTPS is just next to the MRT. Even linked all the way with shelter (except the last 2m or so).
Another alternative is Bukit Timah Primary but only 79 seats left. You can expect all the people balloted out from NYPS (+ HPPS + MGS + SCGS + PHPPS) will apply there if they’re driving their kids to school. It is possible to take public transport. You have bus 174 to Toh Yi Drive. But gotta walk quite far in, 650m unsheltered, to BTPS.
So now we are torn between New Town Pri (via bus) and Guangyang Pri (via MRT/Circle Line). Hence, the question I posed earlier, 'Would we be balloted out of 2C(S) too since we are more than 2 km away from these schools?' sigh.. -

We've tried taking the MRT to Bukit Timah Pri, the walk seems to be quite a distance. We don't drive hence walking distance is very important for us too.
If u're just staying next to Farrer Road MRT Station on the Circle Line, U might want to try Pei Tong which is short walk fr Clementi MRT of Bukit Timah Pri if u've direct bus. Don't give up! -

There are indeed lots of slots there but we don't stay in Farrer Park. It'd be easier if we did.
I’m sorry but I’m curious - is the school nearest to you Farrer Park Pri? I see they have many slots left so that seems like a viable co-ed choice still at Phase 2CS? -

Hi Floppypfactor:
Hi. I'm also caught in the quandry and desperately need some advice. My twins were ballotted out of a school just 400m away and we have to look for schools that we can travel comfortably in public transport but all the schools are more than 2km away. Please advise.
Err...
No one knows where you live, no one knows which schools are 2km away... and not sure what public transport is available...
Kinda hard to advise.
Thank you for pointing it out. We are staying just next to Farrer Road MRT Station on the Circle Line. We were balloted out of our first choice which is less than 500m away and a short 5 mins walk. Since we received the sms to tell us that we are not successful, we have been trying out bus and MRT routes to find the alternatives. Unfortunately, all the choices are beyond 2km from where we are currently staying.
Would it be a case of being balloted out of Phase 2C(S) since the schools of our 2nd choice would all be beyond 2km? What would happen to my b/g twins? :?:
