how much truth are there in theses tots :
1) Land scare in SIN - so property prices will always go up
2) For an economy to boom - it depends also on property prices
For e.g - HK property so expensive ; people there are relatively richer
So in order for Singaporeans to be rich- property prices need to rise??? :?
But will we end up like Japan, -
whereby it will take 2 or more generations
to pay off the housing loan?
Being in the game (buy, sell, hedge, investment in property) seems easy
but its always the Maintenance that may hit you real hard ...

RE: Comparing Pre-school English Reading and Phonics Enrichment
Hi all
i have read from pg 1 up to here but am still very much confused :?
many school of tots is good but 'brain-damaging' when you trying to figure out what's best for your child ... kekeke
my boy is 3yo - i hope he can learn phonics - so he can learn how to read
(i have been reading to him since birth ...)
i think he memorises what is being taught rather than being able to read independently
yesterday, i happen to enquire phonics for my son - teacher 'interviewed' him .. say that he's ready to learn phonics
1.5hrs - very academic (table and chair type)
10 kids (he will join k1 students)
teacher will use Montessori method to teach
according to her - she says - for my child to improve - he will need to be in the company of older kids..
to cut story short - i enrolled him
somehow, now regret ... after reading this topic - i think the lessons gg to be too rigid for 3yo and teacher is very strict
any advise - much appreciated

RE: Mummy omgmum:OMG! Am I too late in my search for preschools?
hee … when my boy was 1yo -
i was searching for him a play group (pg)
to register him when he turn 18m
but then, he only managed to go
pg when he was 2yo (due to wait list)
main purpose - let him socialise and mix around
personally, i dont tink its super kiasu,
just being kiasu …
depending what is your purpose … hahaha -
New Mummy poo_power kena 'summoned'

RE: Is mummy the better parent?
Family =
F- father
A - and
M - mother
I - i
L - love
Y - you
Mummy and daddy will play different roles in your little ones life
( be it good or not -
be it up to expectation or not)
Kids are blessed when mummy and daddy
play their respective roles diligently … hehehe -
RE: Club Only Child Club
trying for no2 but no news
gave up the idea
as time passes - feel ‘lazy’ to be preggie and go thro the process of looking after a baby again
am in high risk age group - really scared of down syndrome
in hindsight - i think i am very selfish
i enjoy so much bonding with my toddler
cant imagine looking after a toddler and baby all by myself
selfish hor - but i dont wish to compromise on what i can give to baby and toddler
