Kindergarten may not be compulsory in singapore, but I don't think kids can cope with primary school if they don't attend some kindergarten.

Oops...don't get me wrong...I don't mean to tell you not to send your child to kindergarten. What I'm trying to say is that you don't have to follow the path taken by others to the dot. You should make your own assessment, and determine what's best for your child. Hope I'm clearer now. :oops:

hee … when my boy was 1yo -


i was searching for him a play group (pg)
to register him when he turn 18m

but then, he only managed to go
pg when he was 2yo (due to wait list)

main purpose - let him socialise and mix around

personally, i dont tink its super kiasu,
just being kiasu …
