    • RE: Do you encourage your kid's interest in art?

i think im a weird mum. Most of the time, i got to nag at my gal to stop drawing. She can spend her day mostly on drawings..she is not talented ( to me) but she loves drawing v much.

Sent her to 2 different art schools for some exposure but had stopped attending. Art teachers told me that she is abit stubborn. Only want to do things on her own way.

my no2 needs different stimulation and i really cant catch up wif her. she is quite active and doesnt allow me to homesch her. Hence, decide to send her to full day pre-sch.

is your no. 2 borned in the year of the puppy? my no. 2 is and he is also very active. i am also worried that preschool teachers couldn't handle him as there is no 1 to 1 attention. actually i am the only one around the house who can handle him singlehandedly...even my mum or mil said that they can't handle him alone. 😎

      hi

ya. born in year of 'PUPPY'. I got no help from parents or PIL. Helper went off last yr and since then, im handling 2 kids alone at home most of the time.

ehh., sometimes my hubby also cant handle my gal esp when my elder gal is at home..She will find ways to 'disturb' her jiejie. got to be alert wif her as well cos she is playful.most of my hsehold items have been 'destroyed' by her 😒

    • RE: What to do when your child asks for enrichment classes?

      red_ryder:
I try to limit to 2 enrichment classes, so as not to tire out the kid and leave time for free play.

Anyone else in such a dilemna?

      hi

My gal is 5 this yr. Currently doing her dancing class on sat and 3 other enrichment classes over the weekends.

    • RE: Shichida Right Brain Training - Discussion

      hi

jst my sharing on right brain

my no1 started SM when she was 11 mths and withdrew her when she was abt 3.5. Since am a SAHM, i do home practice wif her like once a day for abt 30 mins (like flashcard, pretend play, etc)

My gal is 5 nw. So far, we got feedback from her enrichment teachers that she β€˜picks up’ fast compared to her peers and she is quite ahead of her peers. She has gd memory too ( i think mst kids do). But ultimately we do not want her to β€˜study’ using her memory but study with understanding & concept.

i do feel that right brain more or less does helps alil plus my hardwork .hehehe

Having to say that, most parents expect to see immediate result after attending few lessons or a term. Remember that all kids are diff.
