Help!! Anyone is switching their child to PM session (pre-N) please please please let me know!

My son just started his PM class this week. It is a nightmare! He cried so much and fell asleep for the past 3 days. The teacher told me he kept telling them that he’s really tired and kept on crying. I’ve tried to reshuffle his sleeping time but it didn’t help. He still wakes up at 7am in the morning and by the time school starts at 11:45am he’s feeling sleepy already.

Sigh…Any mommies looking to switch please let me know.

      Appreciate it.

      meowie323:
Try to adjust your boy's sleeping/napping hours before he starts school e.g. restricting his afternoon nap to only 1h (so that he sleeps longer hours at night), pushing back his bedtime at night so that he wakes up later in the morning e.g. 8-9am instead of 7am or earlier. By waking up later in the morning, he should be able to stay awake until he reaches home at 3pm+.

The school buses will reach the school early as they need to fetch the students who are in the am session home after dropping the children in the pm session. The children in the pm session will gather at the assembly area when they arrive, where teachers will lead them in singing etc.
      Hi meowie323

Thank you for the advise. Hopefully he will get used to it... Can't believe my baby is starting school soon! Feels like a rock in my heart... can't bear to let go... hahahha

      Hi bebe,

I was in the queue since last year. Been waiting for half a year and finally received a call from them saying there’s a vacancy.

I was like you. Concern about him taking school bus esp when my boy is very little in build thus was thinking of starting his school only next year. But the bus auntie assured me that it will be fine. All the children on the bus are little. And they will all be safely buckled up.

I even went down to the school at 11am to see if the second session children are well taken care of between 11am to 11:45am. I observed that the teachers are there with them while waiting. Singing…

I totally feel your concern coz I’m also worried. But guess I have to let go. That’s when they learn to be independent.

By the way, I will only be starting the bus service a week after his school. Took a week leave from work to drive him to and fro to let him get used to the school before starting the school bus. And the first day on school bus, my mom will be taking with him. Hopefully everything goes well…

      Hi,

My boy is joining the pm session (playgroup) in Marymount starting from Term 2. He is used to afternoon nap so I am concern if this is a problem when he starts school. Anyone has experience with this?

Also, I’ve just checked with the school bus auntie. She mentioned the bus will be picking my boy at 10am and reach school at 11am! School only starts at 11:45am so what will they do between that time?

    • RE: Shichida Right Brain Training - Discussion

Hi, I'm a Shichida parent and looking for flashcards materials for my son.

I came across the website http://www.rightbraineducationshop.com
Can anyone tell me if the eflashcards from this website can be downloaded and printed out? I will prefer to make physical flashcards for him rather than eflashcards.

      Appreciate your response!

Went down to the Tensai yesterday and HDB Hub. They discontinued the CD that compiles all the songs from Shichida! So sad…

      Hi Mummies,

I'm pretty new to Shichida. My boy attended only 2 lessons. So far so good. He's 19 months now. I'm waiting to attend the Home Practice Guidance on 2nd May 2012 to learn more about home practice. Hope to find some like-minded mummies to share some thoughts on home practices!
