On shoes, I got a pair from BATA which is a lace-up and velcro combi, for 2 for $39.90, quite a good deal since original price is $24.
The personal folder, I just used those plastic A4 clear folder inherited from K2 days and pasted his name on it. Hope that will suffice.
Yes there is a list on what to bring for Day 1, 2 and 3. And another list to bring daily. Ds and I just packed his bag together yesterday, also asked him to practise using the lock and key. There is also a "form" they gave out on orientation day, we need to indicate ds’s mode of transport for returning home.
I purchase stick-on labels (with english name, chinese name and his class) and labelled everything.
The only thing that is outstanding is to buy his house t-shirt, it was sold out on admin day.
Thanks for your sharing, Bigfoot and SSmama.
I was just reading and printing the forms/ letters too. Very well organised indeed.
For the personal organizational folder, just an A4 clear folder will do, isit?
Do they really need colour pencils on a daily basis? (stated as one of the things to bring everyday)
Thanks for sharing the above tip on the sticker labels, will pop by J8 for a look.
Now have to remember to teach my son how to use the padlock.
I also received the tags yesterday. It is purplish red, not the bright red kind, so I suppose its corrrect? Altogether 9 or 10 pcs. I bought 3 sets of PE and 2 sets of uniform, so should be able to last for next change, must remember to keep it properly.
Yes the school shorts must be better fit, but there are 2 side buttoms and the centre hook all slightly adjustable. So my son's pair almost close to his knees :). Shirts sleeves close to elbow, hahaha.
Thanks for replying, will wait a while, will also look-see during orientation day to see if any vendor there to sell.
I find the uniforms are of quite good quality and the vendor has the good sense to measure and give one size up so the kids can wear it for a longer period. It’s just that I find white a rather unpractical colour especially for boys, dark blues pants like the PE shorts would have been better.
I went on admin day and was told the house t-shirt was sold out, got to buy from the warehouse. Does anyone knows if the house t-shirt can be purchased from school when the school re-opens? Find it very mafan to go to another place to buy it. And is it very important to get the house t-shirt? Do they wear it often.
I am sorry to hear the catering scheme is scrapped too.My son is definitely a blur sotong esp when it comes to getting food. I think he will not eat anything for recess!
TIA!
Hi, my first post here, just received the sms from MSHS. DS is in 1I, anyone’s kid is there?
