My DS has not gotten back his papers yet. I think the teachers only allowed them to check their EL and CL papers in class. He did not bring back any papers at all.

Actually, I prefer to have termly tests/exam rather than those byte size tests as and when during the term. It's easier to prepare our kids IMO. Getting my DS to study or do his work was a constant struggle. I'm glad that it is finally over. For now, that is. 😄

DS only took back his EL paper for me to sign. The rest of the marks he reported to me verbally. Overall quite happy lah.

Agree totally with you that scheduled tests and exams are much easier to manage. DS wouldn't budge if there's no test coming.

      Hi cherry gal,

Ds says the rest if the paper the teacher will return on Friday to bring home to sign! Dunno how true though...

I not too happy with his EL results although dh says ok lah...

Heehee... Time to scout for English enrichment!! 😄

        Hi vicki

Think need to send for creative writing class for P2. The compo will get more and more challenging. Luckily he did quite well for his compo this round coz I happened to make him practise the night before and it was an "indoor" scene. Otherwise he will start every story with "One sunny day…" (which he did for the practice!!) So he managed to apply the "indoor" way of starting a story for the exam. Phew…

is it true the sch doesnt allow the kids to bring home the exam pprs? hence we cant find maris stella pprs in the mkt?

Last year was the first year my boy take back his exam papers. Prior to that, parents can only view their kids exam papers on a \"script\" viewing day after the exam.

Hi, I just received the name tag from the vendor. It's purple. But when we were there during admin day, the tag color which the vendor showed us was red. Has anyone else received the name tags? Is it purple too???

is ur boy p1 nx year? my boy's name tag is somewhere like pinkish red color. not bright red type. is urs pinkish but look like purple? both colors can be close.

whc class is he in by the way?

DS is in 1F next yr. Hw abt Urs? It's definately purple. I was asking the vendor if the colour of the name tag goes with his house colour or class, but he told me to just put P1 n the year he is entering P1. N also, the name tag is the iron on kind, but the vendor was mentioning tat we will b using the same tag from P1 up till P6? So like hw m I going to transfer?

I also received the tags yesterday. It is purplish red, not the bright red kind, so I suppose its corrrect? Altogether 9 or 10 pcs. I bought 3 sets of PE and 2 sets of uniform, so should be able to last for next change, must remember to keep it properly.

Yes exam results back for all 3 subjects. phew

Surprisingly, the P1s have exams coz I thought they mentioned at the orientation that there were no exams for P1s. Scratch head...

During Bro Anthony Tan's time, exam papers are not allowed to bring home. Teacher will go through the papers with the students and parents only get to see them during the Parent Teacher meeting. After the brief 'viewing', the school will collect and keep them. No parts of the papers are to be copied at all. It only started last year the papers are allow to bring home after they changed to the new Principal.

Hi, my ds is in P2. Does anyone have any idea will there be a PTC before school closes? Is it true for P3 classes, the boys will be streamed according to their academic results? :scared:

                    Hi hugeclaw,

Every year the school holds PTC after the SAs but there's no news this year :? There's no streaming in P3, all of mixed ability. Streaming only from P5 onwards.

i m glad streaming is p5, ie based on p4. usu schs stream after p2 but i guess the sch knows boys mature slower. if my boy goes to a mixed sch, he prob will lose to the girls given his immaturity now. even my nursery girl is more matured in thinkg hee.

:yikes: I totally forgot about the name-tags, since it's different colour for P2 liao. Any of you prepare for P2 already? How about the books? Will the school give us a list?
