Anybody going for those type of School holidays program that is to prepare kids for P1? or know of any good ones? I saw this thinkerbox…don’t know whether it is good or not.
We are relocating back to sgp soon from china soon, and think it is better to do some preparation;)

Realise that "Big agency" does not mean that they are good. They may have so many cases to work on,that they don’t have time for you…

Btw ,the "Standard Employment Contract" says the salary is S$600 …

My application for indonesia maid is rejected…(we first time apply maid).they say got the maid got passport problem(only tell me after 5 weeks!)…then later gave us excuses that it is because we don’t have income in singapore. (My hubby working overseas, so have paid overseas tax and income)…
How can it happen?Cos we recently do the in principal approval bank loan for property purchase.

Now the agency helped me source for another philipino maid, which can target to reach sgp in 6 weeks. the salary is $450. But she said I have to sign a "Standard Employment Contract" document with the philipino govt so that the govt can release the maid to us. But I will have a seperate contract between me and the maid saying that the salary is $450.

Is it true that I have to sign that contract?;(

Hi Liu Xiang…Err…I like to eat fish head leh…heehee… i get your point…will scoop decent amount of food for her. Don’t want to be accused of starving her;). afterall,if you treat her well, she will treat your kids well too!(hopefully)


My friend told me , she once saw a family at hawker centre let the maid eat leftover(e.g. roti prata ) from the kids’ leftovers only , never order anything for her…even though it is just hawker food;(
I can understand when it comes to restaurant dining, some families will let the maid eat at home first(since restaurant food is more expensive)…but hawker food leh…

thanks ladies for the replies…yah, I feel strange to have her eat with us. Yet, I don’t wish to offend my MIL…hmm… My friend suggested that I can scoop some food out from the dishes first and put on her plate, and not let her eat those leftover food after our meal… I even had a indonesian friend(those rich tai tai type). Back home, they requested their maid to cook seperately for her own meal…

Have a question need your advice as this is first time I’m going to have a maid;) Supposed to arrive in 2 months time…
Check with you…do you let your maid have dinner with you?? We stay in 4rm flat with MIL and have 2 kids(1 3yo and 1 6yo)…The kids can eat on their own, but sometimes, the smaller one needs to be fed…
My MIL is very kind, she says maid is a human, must eat together…but our dining table so small leh…
