I've also had surgery with Dr Seah before but it's for a lasik treatment, but I think the preparation and procedure are somewhat the same? What he did was to put numbing medicine on my eyes to keep them open and looking straight up. You won't feel a thing, promise. I know in some clinics there is also an option to use something like an eye opener or holder, which may be uncomfortable.
