Any idea how many students sat for psle this year? Reason could be good students transferred out for GEP, at least 10-15 students per year. Seems like less than half the top 2 classes get 3A* with total of 24 students with 3A* and above.

Level position is a better gauge but unfortunately we won't get to know from this year onwards. The only thing we know is that if we receive a letter in Dec, it means that our child is within the top 25% in the cohort, good luck to the mummies here. Look out for top 25% position and Good Progress Award!

what is the good progress award???

      Good Progress Award
      http://www.moe.gov.sg/initiatives/edusave/funds-grants-awards/

All Singaporean students from primary 2 onwards in Government and Government-aided schools, junior colleges/centralised institute, independent schools or institutions, specialised schools or Institute of Technical Education who are not recipients of any Edusave Scholarship or Edusave Merit Bursary are eligible for the Edusave Good Progress Award if they are among the top 10% who have made significant improvement in their academic performance based on their overall examination results compared to the previous year.

The values of the Good Progress Awards are as follows:

      $100 for Primary 2 to 3
      $150 for Primary 4 to 6
      $200 for Secondary 1 to 5
      $250 for Pre-University 1 to 3
$400 for Institute of Technical Education

To add on, I meant end of P3, in order to get into the top 2 classes require overall 87%.

If papers are easier, the overall percentage for the 2 top classes is not surprising for me. For P3 next year, the percentage for the 2 top classes is above 87%.

Yes, and 4 Respectful is likely the HAL class. Not sure which is the other HAL class. We shall know when they receive their timetable next year. Only Bicep and HAL class have e2k programme.

Hi Sagis, may i know what is e2K programme? thks.[/quote]Hi Piggy2007,

Based from what I know is that if students are not shortlisted for school team for some of the CCAs, they need to choose another CCA next year.
