    • RE: Q&A - P4 Math

      Hello radiantmum,

      Ans to your 1st question.

Cost of gift must be $20 And Number of students are 8.
So if 8 students contribute $2 each = $16 (if cost of gift is 20 then $4 short)
So if 8 students contribute $3 each = $24 (if cost of gift is 20 then $4 left)

      hope you got it now.

    • RE: Q&A - P3 Math

      Hi mother777,

Thanks for your reply. I understood the logic you have explained.
But I am not sure if the wording of the problem implies this.
The wording does not say that planted trees form a square shape garden.
rather the garden is already square shape.
The only requirement is to keep number of trees same along each side.
Ideally the problem should give some indication
explicitly about planting trees along the corners.

      Thnx.

    • RE: Q&A - P3 Math

      Hi,

      Q) From Onsponge book p3-Unit 2.1 - prob 3
Trees were planted along each side of a square garden so that an equal number of trees are found along each side of the garden. If 60 trees were planted, how may trees were there along each side of the garden?

      Ans by book
      60 trees – 4 trees (at the corners) → 56
      56 ÷ 4 = 14
At each side, there were → 14 + 2 (trees at the 2 corners on
each side of garden) → 16 trees
      -----------------
      Ans by me
Can we also answer this question as 15 trees on each side. (no tree planted at 4 corners) ?
Is my answer right / wrong ?
      Why if wrong?
      Thanks

    • RE: Hindi exams conducted in different schools every semester.

      One more sugg.

Why we have to go so…far just to see the marks and paper ? As we don’t get to see the COMPOSITION(nibhandha) paper, where children loose their marks.

yesterday just to see 10 min. paper we have to rush from office(because eve. 7.30 weekday ), to reach the destination again Q up for so long, then teacher was not able to find all (paper2/A,3/B and mark sheet) at the same time.

      such a cause was there…

Why Hindi soc./DAV gives papers to the respective teachers? so that parents can go to the nearby school to see the paper.

One more adv…respective teacher will able to tell a child their mistakes.

because she knows her children very well.

And no need to take mock test in diff. schools, the marks are not counted so can take in their own schools.

      Thanks
