    • RE: Catholic High (Primary)

Hi, my boy isn’t a CHS boy yet but we are considering if we shld place him there. Hubby is a old boy so we will be able to secure a place for him in the earlier phase. One concern will be distance as we stay in Simei but the school is relatively near my workplace. We also want to find out more abt the school through this forum to help us make this decision.

I have read through the previous post and understand a little abt the school and how it functions. I heard from a friend’s friend that with regards to CCA selection, the kids are placed into what the school thinks the child will excel in and disregard their interest. That person’s son was made to join dance even though he does not like it. However luckily because he has enough points from being a Prefect and Maths Olympaid, he did not have to join Dance eventually. Although this is a small matter but I can imagine how unhappy a child will be if made to join/spend time on an activity that he does not like so would like to check with parents of CHS boys if this is indeed true.

Thank you in advance for your help.
