      Agree most of the time http://www.agoda.com gives the best rates and with the loyalty $, you can get quite a good deal. Do note however that most of the time, the price listed in the payment page excludes 10% service fees + 7% hotel taxes, or what other taxes. So you still need to add these taxes to get to the final price you are paying.


      Book early as they offer good deals for early birds and for some hotels, they have FREE Cancellation (good if you have yet to decide where to stay and wanna lock in the good deal).

      Other site you might want to consider is http://www.AirbnB.com.
      Stay in apartments and usually their rates are way cheaper than what hotels in the same vicinity offer. Bangkok and Taiwan seems popular on this site.
