Thanks. Any comment between Morris Allen and LCentral? Or any recommendation for just Oral class? My girl intends to stay on her current tuition centre. But the centre does not focus on oral skills. I'm worry cause the language total score is 200%.

Hmmm.....never come across a tuition centre that just focuses on oral. I think oral exams format quite standard. My ds and dd's school prepare them quite well. Don't think they need extra help outside. I do go through the notes given by the teacher and test them though. But if you need some help, you can purchase the guide from popular. The one I got which I found quite helpful is 'English oral booster and listening comprehension' by Chang Sau Kheng.

Thanks, guess have to do that.

But hope to hear from other parents on their comment between Morris Allen and LCentral.

      Hi,

My dd also doing psle in 2013. Thanks for starting the thread.

As my girl is not good at oral, i'm now looking for a tuition centre that covers English oral, compo, compre and grammer all in one. Any recommendations?
      Thanks.

Heard Morris Ellen is good - the language expert. specialises in English. But very expensive. Personally have not tried - but the Chinese expert (Tien Hsia) was right next to it (same company - they called themselves the Language experts). My dd attends the Chinese one and always find that there are overwhelming students attending Morris Ellen classes.

Another one is Mindchamps - quite good in English tuiton too - rate wise think it's cheaper.

There is another very good one at isun (goldhill). The trainer has very good testimonies. But very expensive.

      Hope it helps.

Anyone can comment further about British Council courses?

My daughter once are the student at BC, She had been in BC for 4months but i don't really see any improvement on my daughter. Now my daughter is studying at LCentral Novena for 5 months and i can see the improvement. So i dont really recommend BC.

What does LCentral cover? Do they practice oral as well? Any comment in Woodlands Civic Centre branch? Thanks.

I intend to put my P5 girl in MindStretcher Woodland branch. Any parents have comment on this branch?

Please also provide the review on their Eng/Maths/Sci classes. Are they good?

      Thank you.

      Emelyn:
      hi,

we went to Korea last yr from 2 to 9 Dec.
Weather was ok. And the wonderful thing was it snowed on our 2nd last day there. Thus, the kids had a wonderful time seeing snowfall and playing with snow ball.

However, even though it didn't snow when we were skiing, there was man-made snow. And the tour guide gave us a 30mins lesson on skiing and off we go. My kids know how to blade, as such skiing was a piece of cake for them. They really had a wonderful time.

      We went with ASA.

Just be prepared for a lot of sales talk by the local Korean tour guide. She built up stories about ginseng since Day 1 so that all of us were very brainwashed by the time we reached the Ginseng Centre...and you could see a lot of our tour-mates piling up the tour bus with ginseng, in many forms. Not forgetting the cosmetic duty free shop. And of course, I over-bought too.

      Regards

      Hi Emelyn,

I have booked a Korea tour with ASA this Dec. Is the hotel and their service good? Is the agenda very pack? Please advise. Thanks.

If you like to shop, can also go 1-Utama/Curve/Ikano, all quite close to each other. Just that they are in PJ. We usually drove there from KL.

      Hi,

Is the Curve nice to shop? Plan to go this place for shopping since I have never been there. Is the similar to 1-Utama? How do you compare the Curve and 1-Utama? Please advise. Thank you.
