Hi Shazamnick, great to know that your girl is coping well. My girl used to failed her hanyu pinyin badly. The school used to give 10 chinese spelling words every fortnightly & now change to 5 words weekly. That actually make it easier for her. Every child is different & we have to cater to their needs & according to their pace. No point to teach a lot or go too fast if they are unable to cope. Good to go slow & steady. Concentrate on building up strong foundation first. You could start helping your younger boy by building his interest in Chinese. It will make it easier for her to learn chinese by the time she goes to P1. Look like your girl has the same strength as my girl. My girl is good in Maths & that will give me more time to focus on her Chinese spelling. All the best to your girl!
