I am curious why that school teacher and tutor say it’s choice (4).

Btw, a sponge soaked with water is call a solid+liquid mixture. And can a solid ball be hollow, strictly speaking, no, else we are just playing with words

Thanks for the clarify a soaked sponge ball is not consider a solid. Steel solid ball could float on water due to
surface tension with precise calculation. So same material solid ball could sink or float depending on how it is place in the water. This sci qn have too many possibility how to say ans 4 is wrong.

personally, i think they should have set not possible to tell as the answer

You may be right, but if both plants and fish are competing for oxygen, they will decrease at the same time right?

(i am just a student and may be wrong)

plants cannot photosynthesize and so lesser dissolved oxygen in water.

you may be right, but if both compete for oxygen, both fish and plants will decrease at the same time.

Hi parents! My daughter said that this time the science paper was slightly tough, and she rushed through the questions. There was one qn in the MCQ about the fertiliser in the pond. My daughter put first the amount of light is lesser, then the oxygen level decreases then the plants n fish decrease. But my daughter says that her friends all put an answer diff from her. For those who want to know what the qn is, the qn is about a farmer using fertiliser that would allow the floating plants to grow faster. Then there are a few options like the amount of light, fish decrease, submerged plants decrease, oxygen level decrease, and amount of light decrease. Then they asked for the sequence in which these would happen. Anyone, help? My DD says she already lost 4-6 marks.

first of all, amount of light will decrease
      secondly,the underwater plants will decrease,
thirdly, dissolved oxygen would be lesser
      fourthly fishes will decrease

There is this question in MCQ regarding if the amount of carbon dioxide affect the rate of photosynthesis . What is the answer?

What about the ripe and unripe banana question in section B?
i do not remember the mcq question but i put one ripe banana and one unripe banana for the experimental setup and one unripe banana for the control setup
