i went down to check out XL at bt timah plaza and spoke to the teacher ic of N2. from what i see from the syllabus, they are covering words which Berries would have covered in N1… maybe i’ll try putting my girl in K1 to test it out. Do you know whether they offer trial class (cos i forgot to ask about that)?

Why do you find XL’s std slightly higher of that in Berries?

Currently i find berries class a bit large. My DD is currently attending chinese S&D enrichment By Hua Lang Ctr at her kindergarten. Altho’ she loves to sing the songs taught, she is not very conversant in Chinese =( I don’t mind speaking to her in Chinese but my phasing is so horrid- i think i’m more likely to teach her the wrong sentence structure (probably due to thinking in English and translating it into Chinese).

I guess i will have to pop down to check out XL. Do they happen to have any June holiday prog?

is you daughter gg for both berries and XL?

Any idea of how different Xuelin is compared to Berries? cos DD is currently attending Berries…but becos i’m teaching her Chinese at home as well, I find that Berries standard is a bit low. I’m looking for something that can help to improve her oral skills cos both me and hb can’t speak good Chinese… =(

I’m surprised to see how well scgs perfomred compared to a SAP school like NH. I’m just waiting to see whether scgs is able to churn out good results consistently in this year’s PSLE.

DD will qualify for SCGS under Phase 2A(2) since i’m an old girl. However, as i stay in clementi and less than 1 km from Nan Hua, I’m just wondering whether it’s possible to:-
1) register with SCGS
2) When Phase 2C comes, and there are sufficient places at NH (less than 1km), give up place at SCGS and register with NH…

I’m in a fix cos NH is just nearer to my home… Any suggestions pls?
