Hi,
I think it’s not “easy” to get A* it’s really a combination. And it was a good combination for my kid. Teacher putting in lots of effort to ensure the kid understands what he’s learning and the kid putting in tons of effort as well. Mine has not gotten A* ever since P4, mostly only As, but he finally managed to get A* during PSLE. Goals are important too. Especially when he knows Mrs Lee had faith in him to get A*. I think that helped him set his goals.[/quote]
Same here my DS is always careless but Mrs Lee had faith in him to score A* that gave him the xtra push to excel n confidence too.
Yes A* is not easy to get the kid needs to be disciplined n put in effort too, parents have to be supportive n teachers need to be motivating. It takes a village to raise a kid!

RE: Mrs Lee Math Tuition - Discussion
Hi to all parents
If u r looking for primary math tuition for yr kids look no further coz Leaping Math is the place u want yr Kids to be.
The best part about Leaping Math is that it is opened to all students regardless of grades n schools. Besides there is no entry test to join the center. The concepts taught r clear n make it easy for students to grasp n apply.
Mrs Lee is a no nonsense teacher, she is firmed but not fierce in that sense. She is caring n the students like her.
DS joined when he was p4, he is from a Neighbourhood school. He had just received his PSLE result last week n attained a A* for Math.
Just a side note, After the psle math paper, my DS actually told me that the ‘pots n pans’ concept taught by Mrs Lee came out LOL.
Fyi we stay in Sengkang n its by no mean feat to travel to the center every once a week.
Mrs Lee, if u r reading this, thank u very much for teaching n nurturing M… -
RE: Mrs Lee Math Tuition - Discussion
Mrs Lee provides her own material n target on core concepts which she make them easy to grasp.
My son has been with her since p4 n likes her lessons.
I would highly recommend her as she is a dedicated n caring teacher. -

Anyone knows the COP for Nan Chiau High?
COP for Nan Chiau High is 236, heard that those who add higher Chinese bonus points to get 236 were not successful. -

Uh..... I don't think the gal made a mistake, she chose purely based on distance n some of her peers going to raffles girl n NYGH.
In the past, had heard that some girls( 26+) chose Nan Chiau High by mistaking it as Nanyang Girls High. It happened before, one of my relatives did exactly that! Guess what, end of sec 1, she top her cohort, she appealed to Nanyang High (NYG), from sec 2, crossed over to NYG. She is very happy now at NYG, next year is year 3... :rahrah:Simply Mum:
just found out a gal with 26+ selected Nan Chiau High as 1st choice!
looks liked the COP for 2011 is going to be higher this round!
