Yes he's p4 this year. He indicated he preferred IVP but was given FPS instead

My son's school only seem to have IRS, IvP and DI. No FPS. But he chose IvP and got assigned the same. Heard that they may not assign with what u have chosen.

Hi fellow parents, can I check if it is normal for some parents not to meet the Teachers for the mid year parent teacher session? And how do the Teachers select which parents to meet? The school practically has zero homework and I’m not sure if he is progressing well in school..

Hi @zoozoe thanks so much for the reply! I’ve called them up and found out the following information below as well.

1. Fees wise, it’s $1250 for all levels before subsidy
2. Early bird discount for enrollment before May is 50% first month, 20% second month and 10% for next 6 months
3. Understand that there’s currently only 2 students in toddler/playgroup class
4. Child to teacher ratio is 1:5 for toddler and 1:8 for N2

I like their inquiry/project based approach which is inspired by emilia reggio approach. Am quite keen to put my 2 and 4 year old there but am worried about my boy being the only studnt in his class for now. The pros would be more attention, care and bonding with the teacher but not sure if he would miss having friends compared to his current childcare. Also worried about excursions/ field trip opportunities for such a small group.

Any mummies who have experience or thoughts on this please feel free to advise. I’m going down to the centre for a visit on Mon so will keep all updated after that.

Does anyone have any recent review on Cambridge CDC at Mei Hwan? They recently held their Open House on 3rd October and turnout was quite high. I was at the Open House and was quite impressed with the vast play areas as well as their curriculum, which makes good use of technology as a teaching tool. (bringing what cannot be observed into the classroom) I have registered my child for the N2 class but yet to pay the commitment fees which is quite ex (one month’s school fees) and non-refundable. Hence, would really like to hear from any parents here who has had experience with the centre before I part with my money! Any feedback from parents who have experience with this centre is very much appreciated. Thanks in advance
