I’m a lazy father. My son is 11, daughter 6. Both can use chopsticks because lunch is at grandparents who must have them learned. I never thought it was necessary.

thanks waiyean for the suggestion, I will take your advice on the upright piano if and only if there is clear interest on my dd’s part to pursue higher grades (I am not that serious about piano-- I just want her to have the basics and appreciation for music)…and again, pls take my response abt the digital piano in context (responding to a parent asking whether she should buy casio keyboard or electone to complete JXC— which is mainly music appreciation rather than ABSRM focused… using it up to ABSRM grade 1 is like extending its lifetime to its fullest specially for parents like me)…if I have extra 3,000 sgd I would rather buy an upright piano than an electone though…

smum:My P2 will take care of the N2 ... haa haa. N2 now knows all about Bakugan while the classmates are only doing Thomas the train.My P1 too take care of the N1....the age gap is pretty good...and same gender helps.Bakugan...my P1 doesn't discuss about such at home...he was even surprised that I knew what is Bakugan ( mummy must keep up with the trend too. :P) cos we don't watch the cartoon at home. We don't know how to appreciate Thomas Cartoon too (good cos their toys are so expensive!). They are both fans of 'Mr Bean-Animated' and 'Phineas and Ferb' cartoons....limited mechandising...good for my pocket!
