    • RE: Pei Hwa Presbyterian Primary

      Hi,

My DS will be gg to P3 next year. Just received letter to inform he will be posted to Responsibility 5 next year. Some questions:

      1) Was told by the tutor that for P2 going to P3, the first 4 classes are ranked by merit, while the next 4 classes are not ranked but in random. Is this correct?

      2) The top class is Responsibility 8, followed by 7, 6, 5. And 4, 3, 2, 1 are not ranked. Is this correct as well?

      Thanks.

    • RE: 2nd property

      Not true.

As long as you satisfy the minimum occupation period for your HDB, a singaporean household can rent out their HDB, and stay in their condo.

No need to do any justification.

I thought need to have paid up fully for the HDB first too? Is this not necessary?

      No need. Not necessary.

heard somewhere that if owned HDB for more than 5 years, then can buy 2nd property at other country like Msia? is that true? anyone can advise?

Look on the HDB website for details of the rules. I believe you are correct here.

Yes, when you satisfy the 5 years MOP, you can purchase local and overseas private property.

    • RE: Advice on Savings Plans

      hi butterwaffles,

You can take a look at prusave limited pay.

Basically you pay say 15 years premium, but can only get back the money after 20 years.

The guaranteed amount is at least equal or more than the total premium paid.

Furthermore with annual declared bonus, the final guaranteed amount will be more than the initial guaranteed amount.

I bought one in 2007 and another in 2011. To form part of the university education funds for my ds & dd respectively.

Let me know if you need more info and i will ask my prudential agent to assist you.

      Hi Kittysocks,

I think you should take action against the centre. Demand for the CCTV footage. See whether the incident is due to negligence by the teacher.

      coast:
      Hi,

Please share the bank's home loan interest rates (for completed private property) if you have recently enquired or took up one.

Does mortgage consultant offer a better deal than contacting the bank directly?

      Thanks! šŸ˜„
Hi Coast, actually should be pretty similar.

Mortgage brokers and property agents will earn some commission if they refer clients to take up mortgage loan. However the rates banks offer should be similar.

    • RE: 2013 P1 Registration Exercise for 2014 In-Take

      Called up PHPPS.

Not sure about the actual numbers, but was told SC < 1km all get in.

At least for me this piece of news is enough.

      Hi all,

Anyone has the breakdown for PHPPS?

Understand from MOE website as of today, there are 42 applicants for 33 vacancies.

      Thanks.

One and only special one registered under P2A1 for PHPPS. Interesting..

probably they believe P2A2 is as safe.

There is no alumni for PHPPS. Thus usually you will see almost nil in P2A1.
