slmkhoo:Hi slmkhooThe moisturiser should be applied after the shower to keep the skin moisturised. What we have discovered (having also lived in drier climates) is that dry skin is more sensistive, so moisturising after the swim will keep the skin from reacting from other allergens in the air etc. I'm not sure applying it before swimming helps as it probably washes off, but I guess you can try.Steadyberry:Hi slmkhoo
Thks for yr advice. Will put moisturizer on her body before going swimming and to take shower immediately after swimming in the future.
I read somewhere in the forum that applying mosturizer before swimming is like a protection for your skin. So to play safe, I will apply before and after in the future. will try this method and hopefully will work in order for her to start swimming lesson again. But I will not start her swimming lesson this year for sure. Will definitely let her skin recover completely. Wondering whether I should get her tested to confirm that she is really allergic to chlorine or any other substances.
