Both schools are very different and very far apart.
Mixed vs girls school - which type do you prefer?
Distance / feasibility - which school is more doable?Zhonghua is no doubt nearer while I’m not sure there’s even direct public transport between MCS and Serangoon North.

I’m considering sending her to school via school bus. But I’d like to find out why it seems like no one is putting or wants to put their children in Zhonghua.

While I’d prefer girls school but if I don’t want to cross out mixed schools.

I don’t know much about Zhonghua but so far, the only thing I heard about Zhonghua is that the kids are naughty. I’d like to know how true is this, like… is it because of the environment or school culture or generally the kids in that school is like that. And what makes people choose other schools in serangoon except Zhonghua.

I think it’s a case of “perception”. it’s not popular i.e. every year there’s full of vacancies so all parents will not flock to it as first choice. There are rude and naughty students in every school especially at the higher levels, especial boys schools. For girls school, what I heard the issues are often the richer ones will ostracize those from more humble background, n gather those with similar ones against them, that’s another type of bullying.
Yes, you’re right about the bullying. I don’t know which is worse.
Hopefully I can find a school that’s just right for my daughter. >.<

maybe also consider st anthony canossian for 2Cs as Marymount could go into balloting at 2Cs. Anyway this is your backup plan, you can check out the school and decide later.

Hope your plan in 2C works and go in without balloting.
Yes I’ve also considered SACPS as I am a Canossian Alumni but the school is simply too far from me. Distance wise, it’s already about 10+km.

I hope 2C works for me too. This year’s results seems very different from the history. 😞

Hi
Does anyone have any review on Zhonghua primary?
I noticed it’s not “popular” and there’s always leftover vacancies.

I’m considering my 2CS option, if I should go for Zhonghua or Marymount Convent.
I’m residing around serangoon north area.

Hi,

If I am using caregiver’s address to apply for P1, does that mean that I won’t be able to enrol in student care? As we are currently living with in-laws on weekdays, thus this arrangement. However, my in-law will not be able to fully take care of my child.

Also, it was mentioned that we need to use “this” childcare arrangement for at least 30months - does this mean that I will have to treat this address like our own address for any future forms that’s required by the school? Not sure how it works.

It only means caregivers has to stay at their address for 30 months. You will continue at your own address. You can enrol in student care.

Thanks for the clarification!

Question:
If I choose to register for a school using parents address via Phase 2C (1-2km), the criteria is that I have to stay at parents address for minimum 30 months.

If I move house after 30 months, is it still possible to remain in the school or I will have to choose another school?

Thanks for the clarification!

Hi,

Does anyone know how is the student care in OLGC like?
What are the chances of getting in the school-based student care since it seems like there’s not many external student care around that area or slightly outside that area?

Thank you! I’m dreading any balloting lol

Just make sure you have a back up for both Phase 2C (in case things get too hot) and for Phase 2CS.

The schools that appeal to me in Phase 2C seems to be borderline risky or quite risky.
Not sure if I should try my alumni in 2A1 - it’s the distance that puts me off...
Also, the student care in my alumni is quite expensive >.<
$374.50! Not including school bus yet...
