May I know your daughter's psle aggregate score if it is convemient. I just want to see students with what minimum score is less likely to get into trouble with IP.

ya PW submitted durg year 5, then begining of year 6 they will get to know their grades. Hmm she jus started doing the sch papers, let u know again.

my dd used to do well fm year 1 to 4. only this year she feel the stress and maybe class end at 5pm everyday, cm hm immediately she \"cheong\" hmwk n revision. can see she put in effort. i hv jus bought her other jcs exam paper, ask her to do comparison. now she preparg her year end promo exam n then later focus on PW for 'a' level submission which dateline in oct. heard fm her only 3 pupils exempted fm promo exam for whole level. Hope she jiayou

anyone in year 5. my dd did not do well in her mid year n she told me whole level was a disappointment. P & teachers start havg meetings to see if questions are too tough after release of results. very stress now n get to study very hard for her upcoming exam in sept .hope she can relax but she told me not much time left. sigh…

Stressy, justsay, did ur children check with e teacher if he/she would be conducting any remedial class for those weak in chinese? I know quite often the teachers would do so on his/her own will or when students make a request (for almost all e subjects). Usually each class has a rep for each subject. Now its time for e rep to do something. Compo - just need to get the techniques right on different type of questions. Ask the teachers, i am sure they can help. JMHO

Daisyt, there is remedial class for HMT but dd doesn't need to attend. I think there are more who get worse than her. Heard many of them scored A* for PSLE Chinese and scoring C5 or C6 now.
I have enrolled her for HMT enrichment class, hope can help.

daisyt, my ds got slight improvement now in his compo after \"forcing\" hm to read up model essays. he got e techniques on how to write according to the title, no more primary school styles

GPA 2.0, dont forget they need HMT and English to be B4 and above to qualify for full promotion. Otherwise is considered as advance and that is provided they meet other criteria like CCA attendance etc. Isn't like that last year ?

No, my dd chose another topic, but she got the same comment as Stressy's son in one of her daily assignment.

my dd got GPA 3.2 with HMT c6. dat's why i m worry for him as full promotion needs to be b4 mah

The talk by P is good. The sch is trying to pull up e standard. No more O lvl class frm next year. No more moderation of marks, he said if the kids cannot meet the passing GPA, either retain or transfer to other sch. He sounded serious on this. No pure 3 science, max is 2 pure sciences & 1 science can be elective subject. He also emphasised on moral & character building.

oh dear! must let my ds know so dat he really put in effort in his work.

probably put hm in xue er you lang open by dr liang wen foo. my dd (now year 5) was under him b4 during her 'o' level preparation. she said it helps as she managed to secure A2 but her result in RV was always C5 or B4. hwever, the schdl was on weekday at 6.15pm, i wonder will it be too tire for ds to attend the class. still lookg for weekend class

Is your son in Mr Yeo's class? My dd had the same comment in one of her compo as well.
My dd said Mr Yeo read out some good compo he picked from y1 mid year exam. If she didnt remember wrongly, one of them scores 51/70.
DD scores C5, she says she ranks 17/34 in class for HMT, which means more than half the class get below B4. I believe school will moderate their marks at the end of the year, otherwise more than half of them wont be able to qualify for full promotion.

my ds not in mr yeo's class. he score only c6 but most of his classmates are at this range. teacher also comments that sec 1 level done badly for HMT. hope there will be moderation or else pull down his GPA

tks for yr reply. ds didnt do well in compo writing .一个品学兼优的人 he wrote a story on him, how he helps friends but teacher comments 记人不记事 probably want him to write his character instead of linkg a story to it. so i think ds still using his primary sch technique to do compo, he likes to write story to relate to title of composition.
