May I know the steps?

Part (a):
Given that they both have the same number of coins, and Ivan has 40 more 20 cent coins than Helen, this means that both Helen has 40 more 50 cent coins than Helen, also meaning that she has more money.
Helen has 40(50C-30C)=$12 more than Ivan

Part (b)
Since Helen had 40 more 50 cent coins than Ivan, therefore her coins are (40x2.7g)=108g heavier than Ivan's coins. Then, simply subtract 108g from 1134g, which equals to 1026g or 1.026kg

May I know why minus 30c
The difference between 50 cts n 20 cts.
Alternatively the solution is (40×50) +(64×20) - (104×20) cts = 1200 cts = $12

Dear all,

Just a quick question. My son only managed to hit the score of 255. Last year’s COP was 256. Is there a good chance for him?
Thanks. Feeling swamped.

Heard 262 awarded ESIS. Anyone with 261 or 260 awarded ESIS? It would be a good gauge in whether the COP for top schools will go up or down, or remain the same?

Any idea what was the ESIS last year?

Seriously all jokes aside, distance should definitely be the main denominator. All these talks about alumni and alma maters are just bullshit. If the gahmen sets the law that all kids must follow the parent's alma mater would everyone agrees? surely not! because if my old school is some unknown primary school i wouldnt want to touch it even if i spent 6 years studying there and I ended up as a scholar. So don't sugarcoat the whole thing and pretend that you guys are so into your alma mater. It is all about the popularity and the brand name!

I think those who does not want to volunteer and disagree with alma mater are just looking for a quick way in. So distance should be the criteria? So those who cannot stay in prime areas near NYPS should be excluded then? My old primary school was closed else I would want my kids to study there even though it was just a neighbourhood school. The school values and culture was good imho. There are slots for people who wants to get into the school such as phase 2B. There appears to be sour grapes around here.
