Is there a model drawing approach to solve this problem? It is easier to be solved in algebra as you have highlighted above but what school expects is the solution with model drawing.

Hi, there is a typical sum in 2017 Raffles SA1 Maths paper which I found difficult to explain to P4 kids in model manner. It is easier to do it with Algebra but since it is strongly discouraged in schools at Primary level, I am looking for a model solution for the problem.
The problem is
Siew Ping had $152 more than Tom at first. After Siew Ping gave $301 to Tom, Tom had 4 times as much money as Siew Ping. How much did they have altogether?
