I have used this for 5 years now, usually during year end and rainy days thru out the year. Highly recommend it as it is cheap good functional and takes up little space.

As far as I know, 1 science talent class and 1 triple science class. Double Maths is compulsory for all students. All those we know of got into their choice, however the school system changes year to year, so cannot set it as a precedent.

But son's friend, also triple science, is in a diff class as son, so shouldn't there be more than 1 class?

Hmm...is he in triple science or triple science talent ? We counted from the list, about 50 taking triple science correct? This 50 includes those in science talent class too. 2 classes should be there about. It's based on what dd and friends analysed...they told me only class E (talent) and F (triple science). Class M has a mixture.
This is what we gathered, you could be correct though...

Ok, dd clarified that class E is not science talent class, I got mistaken.
It's their version of 'talent'. Many top scorers in that class.
According to dd, her class range from GPA 3.4 to 3.8 ( non official) and they gathered some classes with GPA below 3. Maybe besides combi, they also grouped by GPA? Just guessing...

My girl is in 4E this year; 3E last year.
34 kids got exempted from Sec 3 SA2 last year and 17 came from her class.
But I do not hear her saying her class is better than other classes. I guess kids don't bother that much. And I also dont bother as long as she does her work diligently and I dont get complaints from teachers :rotflmao:
In 2009 after my DS PSLE he chose a band 2 school when he could have entered a band 1 all boys school. His logic was that he did not want to be at the bottom of the cohort in that school(his T-score was the COP for that band 1 school for that year) .

He made it to the one and only triple science class for S3 in his present school .
If he had gone to the band 1 school, things may have been different.

You mean your DS knew the COP of the band-1 school, so he decided to choose the band-2 school, after he got his PSLE results?

Nope....not like that.
The COP for the band 1 school was hovering around his Tscore.
So if he applied he had a high chance of getting in.
But he decided against it.
After that then we learnt that the COP for that year in that school was his T score.
My daughter also had the same thinking. She had 258 but opt for RV.
Now she is in the best class in RV year 4.
If she had gone to a higher tier IP school, she may not get the attention or get to do the things she want as she would be too busy keeping pace with the other kids.
