RE: Q&A - P5 Math
Hi, I’ve got 3 questions. Please help.
1. Cherry and Lindy each saved a fixed amount of money everyday. Lindy who started saving earlier, saved $5 each day. When Lindy had saved for 12 days, Cherry had saved $27. When Lindy had saved for 31 days, Cherry had saved $84. How many days had Lindy saved when their total savings was $375?
2. Mabel has $200 more than Ben. Mabel gives 60% of her money to Ben. Ben then gives 1/4 of his money to Mabel. In the end, Ben has $200 more than Mabel. How much did Mabel have at first?
3. The ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls in a hall was 3:7. After 64 boys and 64 girls left the hall, the ratio of the number of boys to the number of girls became 2:5. Find the number of pupils in the hall at first. -

Hi, I’ve got 2 Math questions.
1. Alan and Dennis had some money. If Alan spends $70 and Dennis spends $35, Alan will have $515 left. If Alan spends $35 and Dennis spends $70, Alan will have $2300 left. How much does each of them have?
2. Mr Lim had some stickers and stamps for his class. The number of stickers was 1/2 the number of stamps. After each pupil in the class had received 3 stickers and 8 stamps from Mr Lim, he had 39 stickers and 2 stamps left. What was the total number of stickers and stamps Mr Lim had at first? -

RE: All About Market Rates of Private Tutors
I am curious, how will the tutor discipline the child if he misbehave. I have a friend who’s looking for a good tutor but seems like her son can’t sit still during tuition. Any tutor out there know how to motivate?

RE: Am I a Bad Mommy?
I think we all need some time to ourselves even if you are SAHM. Maybe can put him with your parents or in-laws while you take a break? Or send your child to tuition/enrichment lessons/activities like swimming, etc then you can take a break from him.

RE: Nannies
Pen88n:
How much does your nanny charge?I never had that problem with my nanny. Maybe I was lucky that I found SAHM to be nanny for my kids. My kids learn from the kor kor and jie jie (her kids), and I only enrolled my kids in childcare at about 24 months. Even then, they went to nanny's place for bath and dinner after childcare, and we picked them after work anytime 7-9pm.
In fact, my nanny looks after my kids when they are sick and cannot attend childcare. This saves me the trouble of taking emergency leave and having to reschedule meetings etc. -
RE: School bus fare
Did you all ask the bus driver about the prices of the school bus? Seems like they can anyhow charge!
