I have engaged the service of Nicole Consultancy Pte Ltd on 3rd July 2018 for my elderly mother, and I am utterly disappointed with the service. We hired a private nurse for a day as my mother just got discharged from NUH hospital to receive home palliative care. We wished that the private nurse could help to provide relief and support for my Mother, in the comfort of her own home, yet we were disappointed.
To start off, the private nurse they provided was unprofessional and did not perform like a trained staff nurse. She was extremely slow-paced and she did not show any initiative at all. Moreover, her performance of basic nursing duties were unsatisfactory. She did not know how to change diapers or do basic cleaning for my mum properly. When asked to demonstrate how to put my mum in a comfortable position, she had no idea either. Instead of making my mother feel comfortable, she made her feel worse. Not to mention that she even fell asleep during the course of her work. I further discovered that the nurse did not thoroughly check the medication even as we reiterated the importance. I later found out that there was a missing critical medicine, which left me flustered and stressed.
After giving my feedback to their General Manager, Mr Jonathan, no apologies were given and there was no display of penitence. They had brushed off the incident as a negligence on part of the NUH’s staff and did not seek to understand the profound stress and emotional distress that the patient’s family is currently facing. All in all, the service they provided is disappointing, inadequate, and unprofessional. I would even consider it unethical of a healthcare professional organisation to provide such substandard service. I will definitely not recommend Nicole agency/consultancy to anyone.
