Hello! I'm foreign student currently studying in Singapore Poly. May I know if there is any swimming club for/accepting/suitable for young adults in Singapore ? I'm now 20 yrs and I've been training in this sport for several years when I was back in my country. How is Speediswim vs Swimfast ?

Hi, I have replied your pm
Finally, 4 grueling days at SNAG is OVER! Our kids did a great job but I must say I am rather impressed with the Myanmese swim team.

Yes it's over, now next is the National Primary School in April 24,25th
Those selected at SNAG were invited to join the National Stroke Camp over the weekend at the Sports School..it's over too.
All back to training today

Swimironkids, do you know the rationale behind the decision to stop selecting the top 10 & 11 yr olds for training under Ian Turner? Seems rather awkward to

shift the cut off age to 12 yr old, the PSLE year when a typical Singaporean kid's focus is most likely to be v split...
Hi wats the kid age? U can pm me the detail name..dob...stroke...etc I shld be able to explain
Maybe you wish to stay anonymous just his or her dob , did he she came in first two in final for the fly?
Cheers
For competitive swimming, is Ace or Aquatic Master better?

Hi all, Ace & AM has merged sometime back I forgot the actual date but think it likes 1-2yrs
Not good to disclose the detail behind this but u can PM me if u want to know more unless there new development I'm not aware of
Best not sure just join swimfast aquatic club cos u will never get it wrong as they have hold the National Swimming Championship Title for 8 out of 9 years....this I remember cos I hv the T shirts and I'm proud to wear it šŸ™‚

My impression is that SwimFast may be better for the older kids than younger ones? For the younger age groups, it has been CSC sweeping the top spot, year after year, no? And comments from other parents in this forum that it sometimes is too crowded at Swimfast. I am a little confused.
Confused not...wait and see this year' meet......focus is now change IMO......last JIC in Nov was csc 866, sf 847!
Unless u have a fat wallet to join csc for a 5 figure membership plus a monthly sub fee of $70... I not sure of the monthly fee.....
SF is only 3 figure one time payment to train.....
If over crowded at sf only speaks of one thing...just like a long Q at one of the stall at the hawker centre..hehe :xedfingers:

hi

Any one put their kids in Speedi Swim? I would like to have some feedback. My girl is in P2 this year and going to P3, She is at cross training stage ie stage before going to competitive level. We are seriously considering changing swim school for her as Speedi Swim is closer to my place.

Any shutter or paid transport to ferry the children.

Generally how is the training? please do share your experience if you have kids there. The cost is double of what we are paying now and we want to be sure that this is the right move.

Thank you.
Yes they do provide transport not free tho, think pickup point is the MRT.
Coaches are from China Myanmar for the competitive level
Training are standard what you see in most swim school...
Important is the coach able to come out with progressive training program for the kids
Pool is international standard rain or shine everybody can still swim not like those public pool under lightning threat they close it some of the time false alarm..
Water is cold due to sheltered
