Hi, my son 14yo diagnosed 37c on january. NUH doctor said no need put on brace, high chances need surgical, schedule MRI and 6 months review.
Below, i like to share my journey for this 6 months.
1. we visited kevin lau clinic. Spent $3500 for 3D brace (actually is cheneua brace), another $2500 for chiropractic treament for 3mths.
2. I chanting 地藏菩萨本愿经every 十吝日
3. We stop the kevin lau chiropractic treatment after 3mths.
4. We visit local TCM chiropractor for back bone adjustment (正骨).

After 6mths. X ray at NUH again. Curve result 27c,😃😃😃but forming another curve on upper left.
Our battle not end yet, still have long journey to go.
My posting just to share our journey, not to direct u follow my path.
My 2cents opinion. For kevin lau clinic, i will say is worth to try, especially the 3D brace (cheneua brace) most of the successful case are due to cheneua brace .
Praying/chanting also very important, but is have follow your own religion and believe.

6 months ago when i was pretty upset, totally feel hopeless. I read some article from here and found little hope here.
I promise myself, if we could get any improvement, i will post online our journey of treatment. Again, it just sharing....not SOP. Haha.

Thank you for updating us with your son progress. My dd also went to Dr Kevin and was a godsend as we were told only surgery was available. He is now discharged from the hospital (no surgery needed!) as he is matured and only does the exercises Dr Kevin Lau suggested. I understand not all cases the same but we pray you find a solution to your sons scoliosis.

Yes it was Dr Kevin Lau clinic. The staff is very nice and my son has improved from the treatment. After the first 3 months therapy we decided to continue as his scoliosis was improving.


I would recommend just going for the first consultation to see if you can fit it in to your kids schedule.

I’ve been through HBP and the specialist recommended all they do it recommend surgery for my DD. Luckily I did some research and started him early in the year non-surgical scoliosis treatment with a Dr in a clinic next to paragon. So far so good. Got xray back from hospital and they surprised the curve went down. Best to do your research first before jumping straight to surgery.
