      buds' supply superb...

I also had a leaking experience. on the way hm on mrt... fortunately i was in black blouse 😉
cant wait to retire my trusty pump!

i think cc teacher can do that right? spoon feed?
      DON'T do that la...
perhaps the teacher will entertain me? i am v surprised my sil's cc teacher agree to feeding supplement (fish oil) on her behalf during cc time.
will intro cup to dd2 soon. she fed herself some rice last night, aiming power not bad :rahrah:

hello lyra! congrats on ur 2nd!

perhaps u do a quick 5min relieve-pain pump (or use hand to release) at noon & do a mid aftern pump (to make up ur ebm feed). that will help u work towards ur later pump time target.

:hugs: my records of waking up is 1-4X a night too. & i hav an early riser whom will ask for morning milk at 530am. i try to get to bed by 1030-11pm to survive. my fren's bb is 5mths nw, she bf & her bb has already slept thru. of cos, each bb's nature matters.

Shin Yan: my ‘fullness’ problem is smaller than urs. i pump once mid/late aftern, over time i have successfully endure & drop some supply til nearer to off-work time. next step is to get thru the whole day w/o pump. u pump to supply that bottle (ebm) when u are out to work right? me too. if i drop the pump, will hav to feed fm liao.

sembgal: not all bf mums i knw wake up in the middle of night. i think i am just amg the unlucky ones that my girl hasnt slept thru at 18mths. mayb it is not my girl’s fault, might be some accidental parenting i hav done.

Don’t u all find that it is such a weird situation? in the earlier days we try our best to latch latch latch. success! then nw we try to cajole them use bottle bottle bottle…

buds, u mentioned u continued to bf while working ya? til ur kid is rather old?

did u pump at work or totally stop pump & only latch whenever u are hm?
my current situation is trying to drop the one pump. problem is i go hm w a full & slightly painful ahem supply and that is her dinner time; she usually only latch on abt 9pm bedtime.

btw Nihauma, my girl still refuses the bottle. i fd that it is faster to spoonfeed her (she happily takes it via spoon) than to persuade her repeatedly to use the bottle teat properly! i think cc teacher can do that right? spoon feed? intending to send her to cc in another half yr.

mayb her upper pri kids get the ‘leftover/excess’ milk? mmm…come to think of it… it will be amazing to feed so many kids!

that’s what i do though, excess that my 17mth old cant finish, my 6yr old drink! she doesn’t knw, although she keeps commenting this milk is very diluted ssssshhhh

...delighted to see some 'actions' in this thread. I guess most people who come to KSP have schooling kids already & less of bb/toddlers whom they are stil bf-ing!

      Ehekhh.. hemm.. *clearing throat*

      Yours truly here has both.
Schooling kids AND tot + baby who are still bf-ing. 😉

      u are exceptional :salute:

a lactation nurse at mtA mentioned that singapore's bf record is a 11yr old :rahrah:

We stopped gradually, as I put my DD to CCC, and I breastfed only before and after CCC. By that time, my girl was 18 months and she slowly weaned off in 3 months. As we started to expose her to various solid food at night and gave formula milk in her CCC.
      😉
Me too, only bf in the morn & night (she still stirs at night & ask for milk as we co-sleep). but i am keeping my supply higher, cos she still takes a bottle of bm bet lunch/dinner w small cup. she simply refuses to use the milk teat.

my 1st drop will be changing the milk feed bet lunch/dinner into fm. that is like 'no impact' to her & she eats proper porridge/rice lunch/dinner too.
nw that she will pretty big, she will ask to latch & she seems keen to continue 😓

      Hi Tano,

I just share my past experience in breastfeeding many years ago. Yet, my DD is already 10 y.o now. 🕺
Breastfeeding is the best for all babies. It is safe, economical and nutrious. Breastfed baby is much more stronger and healthier, not so easy to fall sick 😉 less likely to have allergy as well.
hw did u stop bf? was it child led stopping or? i wonder hw she will wean off me...

      SAHM_TAN:

Hmmm, it depends on what you want, what your kids can handle and which school your child will go to.

If you are afraid of your kids to lose out, tuition and enrichment centres they cover the syllabus in advance and then they cover 1-2 level up, depending on centres some dont cover foundation, they just go 1-2 level up. So to ensure your kids will not lose out, you have to plan their academic learning accordingly. But if that's not what you want the it's fine too, monitor the situation and plan accordingly.

I have learned to trust my dd1, her teachers are doing their job. Her achool's pace match my lifestyle. I know she's behind in areas like compo writing and bombastic vocabulary. But looking at her progress from K1 to now and what she has achieved, I'm ok. Plus my aim for PSLE is 230++. So I'm not so stressed up. heehee
how old is ur dd1 nw?

I will likely send her to the neighbourhood sch just across the road where we live. I am not afraid that she will lose out to the Tops, just want her to be at least of average standard *am i making sense? middle-dose Kiasu mummy*
