my daughter goes to Stamford now. She’s in Primary 1. Their principal, Mr. Robin Ong, seems to be very on the ball and hands on.
we will soon be having the one on one with the teachers this April to talk about the child’s performance and the parents concerns.
i have made a lot of requests for assistance at the school and they have been very helpful and responsive.

Hi Thea, great to hear from you. What country are you from?
Hi jacsplace,
Philippines.
My daughter is currently studying at a nearby childcare, Tai Pei Childcare Centre. I also found very good reviews on that school in this forum.
Yeah, it will be great if someone can share how P1 is like in Stamford please. I was told by one of the parents that they have only 1 morning session. We will move to a nearby location before the school opening so my daughter will not get stressed by too much traveling.
P1 registration here in Singapore is quite an experience.

RE: Stamford Primary
Hello everyone! My name is Thea. I just got great news that my daughter Zoie got accepted at Stamford Primary. So happy since this is based on the proximity of my workplace to the school and we are foreigners registering during the Phase 3 period. I have good vibes about this school and my daughter’s teacher has recommended it.
Great to meet you all! -
RE: Mummy schweppes' Bubbly Nest
makes me cry every time i hear this song, In My Daughter’s Eyes
Must also share the song from Mamma Mia,
Slipping Through My Fingers
Abba
Schoolbag in hand, she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile
I watch her go with a surge of that well-known sadness
And I have to sit down for a while
The feeling that Im losing her forever
And without really entering her world
Im glad whenever I can share her laughter
That funny little girl
Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see whats in her mind
Each time I think Im close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Sleep in our eyes, her and me at the breakfast table
Barely awake, I let precious time go by
Then when shes gone theres that odd melancholy feeling
And a sense of guilt I cant deny
What happened to the wonderful adventures
The places I had planned for us to go
(slipping through my fingers all the time)
Well, some of that we did but most we didnt
And why I just dont know
Slipping through my fingers all the time
I try to capture every minute
The feeling in it
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Do I really see whats in her mind
Each time I think Im close to knowing
She keeps on growing
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Sometimes I wish that I could freeze the picture
And save it from the funny tricks of time
Slipping through my fingers…
Slipping through my fingers all the time
Schoolbag in hand she leaves home in the early morning
Waving goodbye with an absent-minded smile… -
RE: Tai Pei Child Care Centre
just an update. i have enrolled my daughter and she will be starting this October. She had seen the school and is very excited. I like the feel of the whole Tai Pei CC environment. I hope my daughter will be able to keep up with the Chinese lessons.
without subsidy, I think the fees are very reasonable.
$560 per month -
