khchan:I think it depends on the amount of students around that particular range, as the intake is still the same every year, lets take rgs for example, if there are very little students around 260 range, they might accept students below that range. But, lets say for Cedar, there are LOTS of students at 247 range, so they might increase the COP, to maybe slightly higher.Hmmm... I guess not. Had a look at 2008 (287) and noticed that the COP 2009 for some schools are higher than that for 2010. I guess a best way to gauge is using the mean PSLE score.khchan:Thanks 25hoursmaid. Based on the highest PSLE score for 2009 (290) vs 2010 (282), do you think we can assume the COP for 2011 will dip?

25hourmaid:
I pretty much don't mind running all over (i couldnt find sth suitable for that) sg for a school suitable for me. but cedar with 252 shld be fine. mgs also should be. i think i might forget about NJC. >< probably CCHMS should be in my choices.thebigapple:
then should i put dunman as my first, then second cedar, third mgs, fourth chij st nics?
I agree with a fellow forummer. Your choices seem are all over Singapore.
Bear this in mind, for DHS and St Nics, your T-score is 255 because they are SAP schools.
But for the other schools like NJC, Cedar, MGS etc, your T-score is 252, since HMT cannot be used for admission to these schools.
Other schools that you can consider would be Anglican High (quite convenient if you have SBS 24 or 45 near where you stay). Tanjong Katong Girls and Chung Cheng High Main if you have SBS 43 and 76. For CCHS, you would enter with 255 since they are a SAP school too. -

your choices are pretty good and likely you will get your 1st or 2nd choice. in terms of standard, cedar, mgs and stnicks are comparable.[/quote]I prefer DH to the others actually, Besides, its a Chinese school, so i pretty much hope that I will get in, since i got an a* in chinese and a dist in HMT
I stay near serangoon. DH is pretty okay as my sister previously studied at CCHMS, which is pretty near DH, so, yeah. Cedar shouldnt be much of a problem too. MGS is not bad, which i mean the standard.thebigapple:

where do you stay? your choice of schs are like all over spore. although it is ok to travel longer distances when you go to sec sch, going to a nearer sch is still better as you really save a lot of time. the hours in sec sch are also long with cca, etc etc. -

but what if its my third choice?thebigapple:
Then what if I go for Cedar? With 255, do I have to take the O Levels?
Yes, you stand a very good chance if you put Cedar as your first choice, but you don't qualify for Cedar's IP yet. You can always apply for the Cedar-Victoria IP route when you are in Sec 2, given your PSLE good results. -

I would very much like to go to RVH, but its too far, as I live near Serangoonthebigapple:
It is included. Oh, so I think that for me, Its pretty hard to get into both. ><
Are you in the West? If yes, you stand a very good chance of going into RVH with that score. -

You see, I have got 255 for PSLE this year, but the thing is, I would like to go to Dunman or NJC, what are my chances? (Including my distinction in HMT, and I have 2 A*s for Math and Chinese, As for English and Science)
Does your 255 include your HMT? If yes, then that gives you 258. But if no, I would say can try, but chances are not that high as Dunman's COP last year was 258 and NJC, 257. But bear in mind that the HMT is of no use to NJC.
