Is there any segregation/split of students for Sec 1 HCL class for a particular reason?

my DD mention that students from different classes were asked to move to another class just for HCL lesson today..so was wondering..

Actually they segregate those which has taken HCL in Primary School from the ones which did not take HCL in Primary School.

Alice can run 5000m in 40mins, so she run 125m/min
So they said she run 2000m, and 2000 divided by 125=16. She took 16 mins to run 2000m
When Alice run 2000m, Huda meet her, that means she run 3000m in 16 mins
So, That means 3000/16=187.5, her speed per min.

Today Maths Paper 2 very tough for my DD. Paper 1 is bit ok for her. But she was so worried when her school principal told that some questions in PSLE papers are meant for GEP students and will b tough. Is it true??

My ds said a few qns in paper 2 are similar to the easier gep qns.

My Son said that Paper 1Q15,27 and 30 and Q18 in Paper 2 were a bit challenging.

I did not look at the diagrams in Q18 cause I was lazy. And I solved it by just looking at the numbers. My answers are: a.20,16,36 b.9 c.2704

there was one question in paper 1 where they had to draw a rectangle twice the area of the trapezium.. my dd said that they did not learn how to find the area of a trapezium? :yikes:

If you put 2 trapezium same together, you get 4X4 square (16cm2), and you have to make it to a rectangle. Either: 1X16 (No Space)
