Thought Paper 1 and Paper 2 was both quite easy except for Q27
parallelogram question part 2. -
My Ds came home,he said math booklet 1 is tough but booklet 2 is easy

Want to ask 2 questions:
1. If the answer is $7.20 and you wrote $7.2, will there be any penalty?
2. If you fluke and got the right answer for Questions 1-5 for Paper 2, will there be any penalty?
P.S. My friends asked me to put this here, so I did. -
I didn't ask DD how her papers went. On her own initiative, she said that after completing her paper 2, she had 45 minutes left to check through. For paper 1, she only mentioned that people were stumped by the last question.
:oops: I realised I didn't even know what the components in the 'Math papers are. I had always assumed that Paper 1 consists of only MCQ. Until she mentioned that some people put '5' for their last question... I was thinking'huh, MCQ only 1-4 leh'. Her answer was not '5' though.
That was all she mentioned about the papers.
Can't predict how she will do for math. It is not unusual for her to complete her papers well ahead of time, checked and then come back with a 70 score, losing most of the marks due to carelessness and over-confidence. -
there was one question in paper 1 where they had to draw a rectangle twice the area of the trapezium.. my dd said that they did not learn how to find the area of a trapezium? :yikes:

My Son said that Paper 1Q15,27 and 30 and Q18 in Paper 2 were a bit challenging.

If you put 2 trapezium same together, you get 4X4 square (16cm2), and you have to make it to a rectangle. Either: 1X16 (No Space)there was one question in paper 1 where they had to draw a rectangle twice the area of the trapezium.. my dd said that they did not learn how to find the area of a trapezium? :yikes:

I did not look at the diagrams in Q18 cause I was lazy. And I solved it by just looking at the numbers. My answers are: a.20,16,36 b.9 c.2704My Son said that Paper 1Q15,27 and 30 and Q18 in Paper 2 were a bit challenging.
