      sorry for late reply…

all S3 student need to do at least one pure science, only those who scored more than 75% in S2 Science can apply for triple pure sciences. the rest either do double pure science or one pure science plus combine science.
As long as you passed S2 mathematics, you can select Additional Maths. but CCHY dont offer principle of Accounting, D&T, Art for express student.
As for the % of JC/Poly, no officials figure given, but my DD said a lot of seniors went to NYJC, probably due to affiliation.

For DSA CO, NO NEED to do anything if you opt out THIRD LANGUAGE.

      from MOE website:

      2. Allocation outcomes
If your child is admitted to a secondary school through DSA-Sec, they are not allowed to submit school choices during the Secondary 1 (S1) posting process.

However, they may still be eligible to submit:

      Course options
      Third Language options

Your child will receive an Eligibility Letter enclosed with the PSLE results if this applies to your child. You must submit these options within one week of receiving the PSLE results.

Note: If no options are submitted, your child will be admitted to the more academically-demanding course or considered to have opted out of Third Language.

      hello

my child did not take higher chinese in pri sch, therefore oso not keen to take higher chinese in sec sch. is it a requirement all students must take higher chinese fr sec 1?

n since Mr Tan took over last dec, any difference in how the sch is run?
my daughter is in Sec 3 express and going to Sec 4 next year, according to DD she said the new p is very strict and have lots of common test from this year onwards. The school even rranged for all the students to come back for Extended Curriculum Programme during the first two weeks of year end school holidays.

your statment above is really encouraging, we still cant decide as to accept the DSA CO given by RV yesterday. My DD insisted to accept and we finally submitted the preference form just now. becos she did well in her prelim and felt that the PSLE Tscore should be around there.

3 of my DD classmates had confirm offer on DSA into RVHS (yr 2020), which is an IP school.

my DD said the form teachers help them a lot by giving extra training on interview.
The school is in fact very caring, we as parents did not contribute much on the DSA exercise.
