      Example TKGS
      COP 2018 is 235
      COP 2017 is 231
      COP 2016 is 229
Should I try if I get 231 this year?

Firstly, NO one will know this year’s COP until AFTER the exercise is over.

Assuming everyone decides not to choose NYGH and a pupil scoring 188 is brave enough to choose NYGH, that will become the COP for NYGH (unlikely to happen but stranger things have happened before).

Given that you have 6 choices (which is frankly, more than enough), there’s no harm in using the first choice on a slightly wilder selection (*applicable only under current t-score scenario). If you get it, great; otherwise, you move on. Remember, fortune favors the bold.

Since you have 6 choices, use the first 1-2 for schools which may be a few points out of reach. The use the next 2 choices which are at or just below the child's T-score. The last 2 choices should be for schools that are \"safe\" - 1 a few points below the T-score, and another well below the T-score. At the worst, you will still have chosen the school, not left MOE to send the child to whichever school has vacancies.

Damn right fortune favors the bold. I remembered last year we switched to our 1st choice without even visiting the school. Still remember the triggered here when I told the reason. Blessing in disguised! All the best people, time to plot out those choices.

Sometimes I cant help but wonder why some schools die die follow the previous year COP. My son took his psle in 2017, his score was 2 points off a school he wanted but could not get in. Some schools also remain their COP for quite long, that does not seem to be realistic. Not sure accurate or not.
