Damn right fortune favors the bold. I remembered last year we switched to our 1st choice without even visiting the school. Still remember the triggered here when I told the reason. Blessing in disguised! All the best people, time to plot out those choices.
Firstly, NO one will know this year’s COP until AFTER the exercise is over.PSLEfrantic\" post_id=\"1947439\" time=\"1574261339\" user_id=\"181521:
Example TKGS
COP 2018 is 235
COP 2017 is 231
COP 2016 is 229
Should I try if I get 231 this year?
Assuming everyone decides not to choose NYGH and a pupil scoring 188 is brave enough to choose NYGH, that will become the COP for NYGH (unlikely to happen but stranger things have happened before).
Given that you have 6 choices (which is frankly, more than enough), there’s no harm in using the first choice on a slightly wilder selection (*applicable only under current t-score scenario). If you get it, great; otherwise, you move on. Remember, fortune favors the bold. -
Sometimes I cant help but wonder why some schools die die follow the previous year COP. My son took his psle in 2017, his score was 2 points off a school he wanted but could not get in. Some schools also remain their COP for quite long, that does not seem to be realistic. Not sure accurate or not.

All the best to those getting PSLE results today. Whatever the results, this is only the beginning not the end. Celebrate small wins even if the result is below your expectations.

The answer is simple. Everyone, including everyone here, refers to last year’s COP as a reference when making their selection. As a result, if you are 5 points off, you will never choose the school. If everyone who’s off the previous year’s COP doesn’t choose the school, the COP will never come down. In a way, the COP becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy.

P/S: if you want the COP to come down, just spread a rumor about the school not producing / principal no good / teachers hopeless. If you can drive enough hysteria, confirm / guarantee / chop the COP will raise like crazy
