My son just book out today and received the NS disruption letter. Need to sign by 30 Jun. He is from Apr BMT batch and will be joining LKC.
Can I check, is the NS disruption letter a physical letter? Also, do their commanders inform them about disruption? Thank you!
Yes. It's physical hard copies handed thru the camp office. -

Yes, applying for disruption subjected to Mindef approval and release date.
Hi, good to hear. all the best for approval.
Congrats on the double offer, and settling on LKC.tick\" post_id=\"1975852\" time=\"1589454027\" user_id=\"5579:
My son is fortunate to get offers from both LKC and YLL. He decides on LKC. He said, in future when he applies for post graduate training, an international degree from an affiliated Imperial London will put him in good standing compared to a local Singapore university degree. I support his decision.
All the best to all your children.
Is your son going to be disrupted from NS, and if yes, when will Mindef inform? Tks. -

Hi! tick, based on my verification with SAF Medical Institute (Scholarship Dept) during e-open house chat earlier this year, the Executive Officer told me that NUS and NTU Medicine will forward the students information to SAF MINDEF for acceptance of disruption. SAF MINDEF will then notify the respective Soldiers of their disruption approval. Those allowed disruption will be released by 1st July to go for their study. Not all Soldiers are allowed disruption for medicine as it is dependable on what key appointments they hold and the remaining years/months to serve. It is better to call CMPB Nsmen Hotline or email them via the Nsmen portal to double check on the disruption matter to be specific.Hi Desmond, thank you for your reply. For my son, he just started BMT in Apr, and hopefully can be disrupted by July. So far, he only got the note from NTU saying that they will look into it, but no indicative dates. i guess will have to wait till next month then.

Hopefully the ceremony can still proceed in Aug if situation gets better.
I wonder if the universities will be having orientations and the white coat ceremonies this year. Will be a pity if they have to miss all these

I saw there's the shuttle bus service.
I drove purposely to visit LKC this morning. No mrt no bus stand near by. A bit inconvenience .Anybody knows how students go to school daily ?

I am not surprised : ) My daughter’s sec sch frens are all aiming for EJC, used to be just NYJC, ACJC, SAJC, RI etc Now it is literally just EJC.
I brought my son to CatHigh for a looksee. He was okok there. Then we drove passed EJC, his comments were “Woah! OMG! WTH! Siao!” lol
VJC has a nice view of the sea.
