I was talking to a friend (ex St Nic mummy) and she told me quite a handful of her friends’ daughters gunning for St Nic IP and SCGS IP. Their children like Eunoia JC !! She said she was surprised.

I am not surprised : ) My daughter’s sec sch frens are all aiming for EJC, used to be just NYJC, ACJC, SAJC, RI etc Now it is literally just EJC.
I brought my son to CatHigh for a looksee. He was okok there. Then we drove passed EJC, his comments were “Woah! OMG! WTH! Siao!” lol

Given the strong interest in direct route into EJC, will the COP for CHS IP, SNGS IP and SCGS IP going to spike up from this year? Will be interesting to see!

Wow that's an ambitious itinerary to cover over 4 weeks. I have been to these places but on several occasions. Nevertheless, you can use the following for planning purpose-based on decent class (3or4*) booking.
All in SGD.

Airline: Delta (stopover Narita) or Cathay (stopover HK) - budget $2000/pax if book early
Internal flight: Delta or United - $500/pax
Hotel: Rooms are generally large so 1 room should be ok - $150-200/night
Car rental & gas & park: $80-$120/day
Theme park: $250-$350/theme park
Food: $100-$200/day for family
Shopping: TBD
Misc (Tips, casino, other expenses etc.): TBD

Alternatively, you might want to engage Tour agency to book if you dont intend to drive.

Any seniors know how the students are grouped together if they are from MS from different schools? My DS came back today and mentioned his class are made up mostly single person (or at most 2) from different schools…

The PSLE T score is a queue system that has worked well for many years... Wonder why MOE decide to give that up for the banded system.... It will sure create more unhappiness like many people mentioned here about the COP criteria being blurred now.....

Haha, it's probably bcos moe is trying to please parents who complain about t-scores that are so exact - \"what's the difference between a 262 and 261? It doesn't tell you anything.\"

And many parents complain that psle and t-scores are too stressful. So moe is just doing what parents have asked for. If I were moe, I would curse and swear,\"like this cannot, like that also cannot. What do they want? They so clever, come and do la.\"

The difference between 261 & 262 is that there is a queue. At least 262 get priority first.

Just like going to queue at McDonalds to buy HelloKitty toys. Imagine if there are no queue. Bound to be chaos!

Seems like this year - there is not much difference in top score of top schools vs normal schools.


Is this another MOE ploy as it appears ALL schools are good now.

To show all schools are good school, then need to compare average /or median scores. Comparing the top score would mask out the effects.
