Yangzheng currently has 57 vacancies for P2C for 2014 registration.

Does anyone has any information on the number of current applicants of Yangzheng Primary School?

What if a PV stays within 1km category?

Will he/she be considered under 2C first and 2B later or vice-versa?

The confirmed 40 slots under 2C will ease off some pressure from both calls to strike out 2A and to allow parents residing near a chance to get into schools. It’s a fine balancing act to start.

Anyway, the PM has spoken on the broad direction and all eyes will be on Edu Minister Heng to work on the probability and tweak the registration system next year

Hi, yes, I stay at Potong Pasir. But the funny thing is cedar is marked as 1km to 2km from where my block is. Thus I was looking at all schools under this category.


I shared the same thought when I saw that YZPS has only 1 vacancy for the 17 children under 1-2km. Odds are bad. I also realise that the school lower the number of P1 this year so am evaluating the options. However, I could not make it for YZPS PV and Cedar told me that there's no PV program and it should be quite safe for us.

I also wanted to hear from parents (or children) on Cedar's program to get a better view rather than depend on the website.

I'm crossing my fingers for next year's P1 exercise. :xedfingers:

I intend to reg my DD for cedar at next year’s 2014 P1 reg exercise.

For PV at YZPS, you have to sign up before 30 June next year based on this year's rules.

I missed my chance for PV at YZPS when I realised the cut-off date and I've also asked the school Mrs Yeo. So it looks like I have to give up going for YZPS for my DD at next year P1 reg unless I want to take a gamble for phase 2C as I'm residing at 1km-2km category.

So do sign up for PV and check on all details if you intend to go for YZPS.
