Yes. Erm, sorry, never going back there.

Where do you live? There should be vacancies available but they may not be anywhere near your home. My friend’s son was posted to Sembawang primary and they live at west coast. MOE’s decision is final, they had no choice and will be moving closer to the school.

Singapore does not allow for dual citizenship. Foreigners who renounce their own citizenship to become Singaporeans are here either for the long haul to set their roots down or they are here for a few years before renouncing their sg citizenship to be US/ Canadians citizens. Certainly not for something as frivolous as primary 1 registration. Their home country is under no obligation to welcome them back either.

I visited twinks 3 years ago, it’s under MMI

right? It was disorganized and they were severely understaffed. They refused to let me see the kitchen cos it had not been cleaned up yet. Red flags went up all around. Things might be different now but it’s important that you make a visit and judge for yourself.

My kid is at Mindchamps at tanglin road, so far so good. Am happy with the level of care as well as the curriculum.

    • RE: [Bukit Timah] Primary Schools

RGPS will become the default last resort for parents of girls aiming at Pei Hwa, MGS, NYPS and SCGS should the numbers get scary for those schools on day 3. Movement at RGPS will be quite frantic at the last hour. Don’t be caught out and end up late for registration. So be prepared!

Hi parents, really in need of ur advice..

Pei Hwa phase 2c vacancy left 40 and within 1km away from my house, please advise should I give it a try or just go for my 2nd choice which is RGPS ( left 102 vacancies ) but more than 2km .
Please help me,, seriously in dilemma.. Any experiences parent to advise me??

      Thanks
Hmm tough one... You'll have to monitor on the last day of registration and decide. Call up or station yourself and husband at either school to find out exact numbers. Rgps will ballot at > 2km for sure. Ph will probably ballot at 1km. Your chances could still be higher at Ph with 40 vacancies. That's more than what they had last yr.

Within 1km to rgps. Currently registered under 2b in another school. Keeping fingers crossed we can get in to rgps smoothly.... Been planning for that since earlier the yr. Hope with the no of vacancies this yr we stand a good chance.

Not to worry, within 1km with so many vacancies, your place is confirmed 🙂
The population density that stretch of dunearn road is not high.
