am new to this forum … anyway just to share:
DS1: Currently in P5, the typical kiasee type - when he was in P1, he would wake up in the middle of the night to check and re-check his contents in the schoolbag against the timetable! Cried whenever he couldn’t get things right! Dare not to be different especially when it comes to Art ie must draw something alike those of his classmates! Moving forward, now Mathematics stresses him out, couldn’t sleep on the night before his Maths paper and cried (at his grades) upon receiving it. Both wife and myself we provide as much support as possble and always make sure we are there for him. Good thing he enjoys his moments in the school badminton team else think he would hate school like poison!
DS2: Nothing! Probably only when we do not allow him to eat his favourite french fries! Entire different character from the elder sibling!

RE: How much time you spent with your child
Both my wife and myself would try to do our work at the dining table from 8 - 9.30 pm daily. The elder one who is in P5 naturally has tons of homework and the younger one K2, simply does his drawings or writings etc.
Fridays are reserved for dinner outside follow by PS3 or Wii games amongst the boys. I particularly enjoy those moments when we squeezed ourselves in our bedroom with lights out, sharing of ghost stories or jokes in the dark.
Saturdays and Sundays evenings are mainly for dinners at either in-laws place and also for them to interact with their cousins etc. -
RE: 4 yr old suddenly refuse to go FCC
We had exactly the same issue with our younger son. After some observations and sharing by other parents and grandparents of his classmates, we suspected it could be due to "homesick-ness".
He is very close to his elder brother and would always want his attention. Anyway, we try to coax him in attending school by "planning his activities" after his school dismissal ie allowing him to watch his favourite cartoons, playing etc -thus, allowing him to look forward each day upon his lessons.
I agree that it may be painful to see own child crying etc at the doorstep, but I guess as parents, we need to be firm (to some extent), it is all about learning - for all parties. -
RE: All About SkateBoarding/WaveBoarding
H, newbie in this forum, firmly believe that children should learn some outdoor sports ie inline and skateboarding etc.
Last year managed to introduce inline to my boys and they truly enjoyed it. Sothey requested for skateboarding this year upon seeing the wonderful skate park at East Coast.
So should you have 1 in mind, please let me know, thanks.
