Hi Muffins, this is the Swaveboard, not Wave Board (if you allow my correction). It is relatively cheap (between $69-100+), sells at most general sports shops & even Carrefour sells it. It doesn’t work like skateboard, it requires lots of balance and momentum driven from yr body movements. It’s fun for a while but I got tired of it in a very short period. It just swaves left-right but in a forward direction. Hope this helps.

H, newbie in this forum, firmly believe that children should learn some outdoor sports ie inline and skateboarding etc.

Last year managed to introduce inline to my boys and they truly enjoyed it. Sothey requested for skateboarding this year upon seeing the wonderful skate park at East Coast.

So should you have 1 in mind, please let me know, thanks.

SkateSports (try google) used to offer skateboard classes.

DD took up yrs ago, there were disruptions due to insufficient min. to form a class/ Muslim fasting mth for coach. I was told it takes years for a basic "Ollie" trick, so DD stopped class eventually. Now DS wants to pick up too… I’m hoping DD can guide him in the basic staying and steering on the board.

I think skate boarding is a gd activity to boost hand eye coordination. However, it does go at higher speeds than wave boarding so its more ‘dangerous’. My kids played with both and i find that wave boarding not as risky. They can wave board together, holding hands and it’s really beautiful, like a dancing art. I hv lobangs for good wave boards in case any mothers keen can pm me. actually i dont think kids nowadays need lessons for such activities, they pick up the sport themselves! Haha but sad to say auntie like me cant even stand on a waveboard or skateboard for a minute!!!
