A quick question for those who were allocated schools by MOE? Were you unsuccessful in the ballot for your first-choice school? If so, what schools are they?
I guess I am trying to find out which school now does balloting for Phase3. Thanks!

Holy Molly! There were 80+ vacancies at the end of Phase 2C. Did the school suddenly become very popular? :yikes:
2013 P1 - only left 8 vacancies for OEPS (Phase 3)

Johmom, thank you so much for your response. And PHTTHP, thanks for the heads-up on OEPS open house. I will keep that in mind.
I have browsed through the OEPS thread on this website and I think it may be the school best suited for us (although apparently some parents "cried" at the thought of having to settle for OEPS :-). My husband, being born-raised Canadian, expressed concerns about putting the kids through the local school system (I must have whined a lot about my school days in Singapore) and I like the fact that OEPS seems to be "more holistic" in its approach. Besides, it fits the bill of being close to where my sisters are (Telok Kurau).
Once again, thank you! -

Hi PHTTHP, thank you for your response. I know that my children will be under Phase3 (I stated that in my initial post) and I actually browsed through the MOE and this thread/ forum/ website quite extensively before posting but those are not really what I was asking for. I am familiar with St. Stephen's (both nephews were there) and CHIJs (many friends from CHIJs) and I know most Catholic schools are not co-ed (I grew up in SIN but that was many moons ago
as your 3 children are Canadian (foreigner), they will enrol under Phase 3.
Phase 1 and 2 apply to Singapore citizenship kids and PR.
No Catholic co-ed school in Telok Kurau.
Few Catholic schools around Telok Kurau.
the Catholic schools in Bedok, Geylang are:-
St Stephen - for boys,
CHIJ Katong Covent, St Anthony Cannosian and Cannosa Convent - for girls.
if refer this year (2013) results, by end of Phase 2C :-
schools like St Stephen, CHIJ Katong Convent and St Anthony Cannosian - were grabbed and snapped up fast by SC and PR, FULL house.
for 2C Supp - which Catholic schools still have vacancies ?
i) for boys
Montfort Junior in Hougang - 99 seats left
St Gabriel in Serangoon - 18 seats left
ii) for girls
CHIJ Our Lady Queen of Peace in Bukit Panjang - 20 seats left
Cannosa Convent in Geylang - 39 seats left
Marymount Convent in Toa Payoh / Bradell - 24 seats left
even then, these may be snapped up fast by SC/ PR entering Phase 2C Supp.

1. Co-ed schools in Telok Kurau area - what I meant was ANY co-ed schools (non Catholic). I came across Telok Kurau Primary, Opera Estate etc but I know nothing about them (I am not even contemplating Ngee Ann or Tao Nan) so any feedback, thoughts or suggestion of other schools nearby (even Bedok area) would be really helpful.
2. Catholic co-ed schools - I read somewhere on this website that there are 3 co-ed Catholic primary schools. Not in Telok Kurau area, I know that much. But I can't find that thread again nor could I find anything from the Archdiocese website. I was just wondering if anyone knows it at the top of your head.
Having said that, thanks again for responding. I'll wait for future responses. Warm regards from Canada! -
RE: 2013 P1 Registration Exercise for 2014 In-Take
Introducing myself… I am a mom of 2007-born triplets (2 girls + 1 boy) currently living in Canada but hoping to move to SIN by next spring. We are Canadians and will only qualify for the Phase 3, even though I am an ‘old girl’ of FMSS.
As I have been away from Singapore for quite a while, I hope some of you can help me with my queries:
1. Any suggestions of co-ed school I should look into? Preferably around Telok Kurau area, where my sisters live.
2. Is there any co-ed Catholic schools (we are Catholic)?
Any suggestions is greatly appreciated. Thank you! -
