My elder son is in Sec One. As he takes public transport to and from school, we are very worried abt him catching the virus, thus we informed the school that we choose to let him stay home from Monday onwards. I am very disappointed with the school when they replied with they will mark my son "absent without valid reason". How is this not considered as a valid reason?! Even the doctors have acknowledged that carriers may not show any symptoms at all . His school is also not making it mandatory for everyone to wear masks, and the teacher dared to claim that the school is very safe. Really disheartened with our local school system!

I too disagree with giving maids off-day once weekly. With a hectic work schedule and also having to bring home work to do, I desperately need that weekend break! Not just for myself, but also to spend more bonding time with my young kids. If my maid goes on off every weekend, means I gotta \"bao-ka-liao\" all the miscellaneous housechores on that day, like that whr got energy to play with my kids To think that Halimah Yacob encourages SAHMs to go back to workforce, if her proposal were to succeed, I think would end up encouraging more SAHMs to stay home.

What brand is Giant selling? I bought my 8 litres Tiger Thermal pot fr Hong Kong, and only cost me $270 ....gd bargain but very heavy in the luggage, no joke .

That is really worthwhile!!! But 8 litres!!! That's really alot, how many are you cooking for?

Hehe....actually there r only 3 adults and 2 toddlers. But i only cook 3/4 of the pot, and I freeze a few containers of soup for later use ( cook my sons' porridge).

I went to Giant to take a look at the thermal pot, but I am disappointed to find that they dun hav 100% stainless steel inner pot i.e the smaller one is made of plastic, which cannot be used on the stove. That explains why the price is so cheap I didn't buy, still prefer Endo which has a smaller stainless steel inner pot which I can use to cook as well.

If u have any doubts regarding the PAL or need any clarifications, I suggest that u email the FTs directly.

The 字宝宝comprises 生字found in textbook A and B, which explains why u have 2 sets. U can go thru all the words one by one, according to the units in the text book. One simple game to play with yr child : U can place the cards on the table, then u read out one word aloud, and let yr child find that particular word. If u have more than one child playing, u can also carry out the game in a competitive manner ( children love that pinch of competitiveness), whoever find the word can keep that card, and the winner goes to the one with the most cards.

Yup…I agree! The challenge is to get A*. For an average student who doesn’t fail his/her CL, getting an A is no prob. Why spend $70 per hour, unless the tutor can guarantee an A*?
